Create a new Rental Beast account or sign in with your existing credentials, add your property and lease details, and connect your bank account.
Invite Your Renter
Add your renter(s) contact information. Your renter will be invited to create or link their account and confirm your lease details.
Your Renter Signs Up
The renter will set up payment with a bank account, debit card, or credit card, and schedule the rent due date. The renter will agree to pay a small processing fee.
Your Rent Gets Paid
You and your renter(s) will be notified before rent is due and when rent is paid. If autopay is scheduled, rent will be automatically collected on its due date. Both parties can view payment activity on MyRentPay dashboards.

Is MyRentPay free to for landlords?

A.

Yes, MyRentPay is always free for landlords to use. Renters pay a fixed $3 transaction fee for bank/ACH payments or a variable 3.1% transaction fee for credit or debit card payments.

How do I get started?

A.

Easy! Enter your email address and a password to create a MyRentPay account. Once you sign
in, you can add your property, connect your bank account for direct rent deposits, and invite
your renter(s).

Will rent automatically be collected?

A.

Yes. If a renter has set up autopay, the rent will be automatically collected from their bank account or credit/debit card on the day of the month you choose.

How can a renter pay rent?

A.

A renter can connect their bank account or pay with a credit/debit card.

Q.

Does Rental Beast store credit/debit card or bank information?

A.

No. Rental Beast does not store your credit/debit card or bank information. We work with
industry leading payment processors, including Stripe and Dwolla, to ensure your credit card
and ACH payment information is handled and stored securely.

Will I be notified when a renter has completed their setup?

A.

Yes. Both the landlord and renter will receive notifications once setup is complete.

Q.

When is rent collected from my tenant?

A.

When adding your property/lease information, you will specify what day of each month your tenant’s rent is due. If the renter schedules autopay, rent will be collected on the appointed due date.

Will the renter get notified before payment is due?

A.

Yes. The renter will get two email notifications—the first seven days before rent is due, and the second on the day before rent is due.

Q.

Will rent automatically be collected?

A.

Yes. If a renter has set up autopay, the rent will be automatically collected from their bank account or credit/debit card on your designated rent due date.

Will I get notified once rent has been collected?

A.

Yes. You will be notified via email. You will also see the rent collection on your MyRentPay dashboard.

Q.

Will rent be deposited into my connected bank account immediately?

A.

No. Please allow a 5-7 day processing time between rent collection and transfer into your bank account. You will be notified when rent has been collected and when rent has been deposited into your account.

Q.

What if the renter does not have the necessary funds to pay rent?

A.

You will be notified via email that rent collection has failed. You should then contact the renter directly.

Q.

Can I see the total rent collected for my properties?

A.

Yes. You can easily view transactions from the current year, the previous calendar year, and between specified dates on your MyRentPay dashboard.

Q.

I collect first & last month's rent before my renter(s) move in. Can I record that in MyRentPay?

A.

Once the renter(s) confirm the rent amount, you can note that the first months rent was collected offline. To do this, select your property under "My Leases". Click "View Renters", select "Add Offline Rent Payment", and follow the on-screen prompts.

Q.

Can I use MyRentPay to collect a renter’s security deposit?

A.

No. We are not involved in the collection of a renter’s security deposit. Do this as you normally would.

I want to start using MyRentPay in the middle of a current lease. Can I record previous payments?

A.

Yes. You're able to record offline/past rent payments after you've added lease information and the renter(s) complete their setup. To record offline payments, select your property under "My Leases", click "View Renters", and select "Add Offline Rent Payment".

Q.

I have two tenants leasing one property as roommates. Can I still use MyRentPay?

A.

Yes. Simply specify the number of renters and provide contact information for each renter. All renters will receive an invitation to MyRentPay. During setup, each renter will manually input their rent amount.

Q.

What if one tenant can only pay by check, can I still use MyRentPay?

A.

Absolutely. You can notate an offline payment for a specific tenant and use MyRentPay for the other renter(s).

Will funds be automatically taken out of my account?

A.

If auto-pay is scheduled, yes. The landlord will set the day of the month that rent will be collected automatically.

Do I have to use the rent autopay feature?

A.

No. You can use the "Pay Now" feature to send payments manually.

Will I get a notification before funds are withdrawn?

A.

Yes, but only if you have scheduled autopay. You will receive two email notifications—the first seven days before your rent is due, and the second on the day before your rent is due.

Can I edit my autopay after it has been setup?

Yes. Click “Edit Autopay” to make your selections.

Is there a way to stop autopay?

A.

Yes. You can stop autopay in your profile after it has been setup.

Can a roommate pay rent outside of MyRentPay?

A.

Absolutely, just let your landlord know. We encourage you to tell your roommate how easy it is to use MyRentPay!
